Can't touch this

Me and the B's were just out at the store a while ago. Just out for lunch and to buy a few items. Everytime I get out of the car I have to make sure LB isn't running out into the street or parking lot. Because he still tries to do that sometimes. Can't wait till that thing kicks in that says "be careful of the moving cars!" So I am always saying "OK, STOP". So we come out of the store, up to the curb, "OK, STOP!" and BB says "Hammer time!" So it brought back some memories of those days with the high waisted pants and low crotch. What were they thinking? Let us all think back now....

Moving day!

No, we aren't literally moving as in houses, but blog templates. Trying out another one. It's kinda plain so who knows how long this one will last. Gee, maybe we will have a flavor of the week going on. At least Hubby will be happy that I am not changing the living room around again. I can just get all my furniture moving moods out right here. heehee Off we go!

National Museum of the Marine Corps

We stopped at the Marine Corps Museum on the way back from VA beach and I thought it was very nice. I recommend the visit! There was so much to see. BB loved it of course, and now can't decide whether or not to go into the Army or Marines now. In the last picture he is standing by his favorite gun. There were alot of those in there, and tanks, and planes and soldiers and war scenes. So much in there I couldn't post all of the pictures. If you are ever in the area of Quantico, VA, I suggest stopping by. Well worth it.

More vacation pics...

Ok, I finally got all of my pictures on my computer. Here are some of the pictures from our dolphin watching cruise. If you look closely, you can see a couple of fins. With these wonderful digital cameras we have now, they take a moment before actually snapping a picture. So by the time it had taken, the dolphins were back in the water. We did see some tail slapping and a little jumping. I'm just not a dolphin mind reader so I couldn't predict when to take the picture. We also saw a lovely sunset that I just kept taking pictures of. You see, the sun is a little slower so as to accomodate the delay in this great technology. Enjoy!

Ridin'

So, yes we did it! We rented the "family bike". We had been watching people ride these things in front of our hotel so much, we figured "Hey, we've never done that before." So we caved like all the other tourists. By the way, if you are out of shape, it is not as easy as it looks. Especially when you get a bike for four and only two are really peddling. Everyone else we saw just breezed by us like they have been doing this forever. And I was in there huffing and puffing and doing the whole "Are we there yet?" bit. We got to rent it for an hour but we didn't even make it an hour. Well we did use up most of our hour. Hubby is in great shape so he probably would've been able to hang. But not me, man. I was done. And now that we are back from vacation, I have the sore muscles to prove it. I need to get in shape. Whew!

VACATION!!

Sitting here on our oceanfront balcony overlooking the ocean. Aaaaaaahhhhh beautiful. We are in Virginia Beach for a couple of days. We have already been in the ocean, bought the boogy boards, got a jellyfish sting and ate at a seafood buffet. And we just got here this afternoon! Now we are watching the people go by in their rented bicycles and "family sized bicycles". I didn't know how much people liked to bike. Maybe we will try that. I'll keep you posted. As we sit here I am reminded of a little nostalgic music that I will share with you. Have a good time jamming away while we go listen to the waves. More later.

Don't go anywhere!

Yes, you are at the right blog. I just thought I would try a new template. I like to change things around sometimes. Just ask Hubby. Seems like everytime he came home from work, I had the living room moved all around. When I do that, I ask him, "How do you like it now?" In which he can rightly reply "Looks good, but you're going to change it again soon anyway, right?" Well, yeah, I like keeping everyone on their toes. Don't know why it's in my nature to change things. I just like to try every avenue available.
Oh yeah, and I guess the new template doesn't like the length in my name. Oh well, I will be changing it again soon anyway.

YARD SALE!!

Aren't yard sales great? You find some really neat stuff sometimes. After going out to breakfast, Mom, me and LB caught sight of a yard sale on the way back home. Normally, LB doesn't have alot of patience for these types of things so we don't go to many of these. After looking around a little, LB comes upon this old bank shaped like a big crayon. The sticker said free and the woman running the sale told him to go ahead and take it. Now I figured the main reason for taking this treasure home was mostly the novelty. I was right. I mean who wouldn't love to have a huge crayon in their house? You know, when I was younger and played with Barbies, I would come along some things that were sizeable for them. Like, brussel sprouts. They make great heads of lettuce for Barbies. And perfume sample bottles. They look nice on a Barbie dresser. Stuff like that makes different sizes of things kinda cool. And I still come across items that take me back to the Barbie days. So anyway, LB really liked this crayon. After grabbing it, he then proceeded to use it correctly. So we brought it home for him to do some nice artwork on our patio.

Game time!

Alright, so BB has decided to stay at his friends' house for a few days. Guess what momma's going to do? Yep, battle Joe Perry. And this time, I won't have to stay up till 2 am to do it while BB is in bed. Uh huh, I can battle during the day now. No more loss of sleep for me. So when LB decides to go watch his show, I'll be set to do some serious practice. Yes, I am a 36 year old mom of two obsessing a little about my video games. What of it?

Flashback

So how happy was I when I just got Guitar Hero Aerosmith this payday? Really. Most of you out there who know me, have already figured out that I haven't grown up too much. There's a clue. But there is a problem also. You see, we are fortunate to have a son who doesn't ask for the latest technologies as soon as they pop up. He is actually a waiter. Think about this. He is 12 and only recently started asking for a cell phone and an ipod. How have we made it this long you ask? I don't know the answer to that but I do know that we are very blessed. Our wallets are blessed. So when he asked for a playstation -last year:)- we got him one. He keeps it in his room. It is HIS. So now think of how happy I was to get MY game and then how disgruntled I was to have no way to play it. Being HIS game system and all. No no no, I just couldn't follow along with the rest of the world and buy all the game systems for the entire family. How was I to know that when we got him this present that I would be one to want to play with it? I should have referred to the picture here and planned ahead. So now I am in a bittersweet blissful state until I can BORROW the playstation and practice for my upcoming battles. I do have to say that he is a nice sharer so I don't want to make him out to be a meanie. Plus I have to be nice so he WILL share. So as I think of all the money we have saved in not getting another video game system, I will sit here and wait my turn. (sigh)

Happy 4th everybody!

Look at the center of the image for about 30 seconds. Then quickly shift your gaze to somewhere with a white background. You should see an afterimage of the US flag with the correct colors.

Ready for some learnin'?

These would have been so helpful in school. Guess you're never too old to learn something!
