That's ENOUGH!!!

Imagine, if you will, a nice quiet peaceful dinner at the table. LB and his habits of grazing kick in. LB loves to eat a few bites and then run away. He comes back for a few more bites and runs away again. Now when he runs away, he goes to his room to play a scene from a video that he likes. Repeatedly. Very repeatedly. When it's all I can stands and I can't stands no more, I yell out from the table "That's enough, turn it OFF!" With emphasis on the last word. BB sits beside me and gets the brunt of this command. So it reminds him of Austin Powers. I have become Frau in our home. I put in this video to give you a clue. Notice Dr. Evil's jump at the emphasized word. Yes, that is BB's response as well. It is a sad thing when we sit at the table and he knows when to quickly cover his ears by the way I take in a deep breath. Dinner is so much fun.

Mealtime must be exciting at your place. Poor BB, does he enjoy his meal even though he knows there will be yelling?

I say BB is probably glad the yelling is at someone other than him! (I know I always was.)

I'm just sad for MelanieWelanie. She sounds like she yells just like my Mom.

DDG G-ma-I think BB gets a kick out of it. There is always entertainment!

Mom of DDG-Are you trying to get me in trouble? I feel a set-up coming on.

I would NEVER try to get you in trouble. This post just brought back so many memories. And Mom could always make the 'others' jump as your clip showed. (she still does, too.)

I saw our Texas cousins today and it reminded me of meal time at that house when we were that age. The way there kids had such good manners and would ask to be excused from the table when they were done. I remeber after they left my cousin MelanieWelanie told me that we should do the same extra pollite gesture. Mel who always ate like a bird was done in just a few minutes after her food hit the table, was itching to use her new found manners drops the line on my grandparents. "My I be excused Grandma", Grandma turned and looked at us like you little monsters can take off anytime you want. Last time we tried to be well behaved, boy we showed them!

That's funny SAAM! I didn't remember ever trying those manners out. I must have been looked at like "Who are you and what did you do to our grandkid?"
