Happy 17th to us!!

Today is our anniversary!! Mathmatically we have been married for 17 years. We kinda feel like it's only been about 5. Of course, that doesn't add up right considering we now have a teenager. eek. But still, we've been blessed.

We got to celebrate last weekend-because of work schedules and such. We ate at a very nice restaurant. Kind of upscale. Good food. Nice ambiance. And all of that class just can't sit still. Reality and humbleness reaches me as I sip from my wine glass. The wine proceeds to go down the "wrong pipe" as I taste, and then proceeds to shoot out of my mouth in a spraying fashion. Thankfully, I had my hand over my mouth and my wonderful Hubby got only a few sprinkles on his dark-colored clothing. My white skirt, however, fell victim to the largest of droplets and endured a long night of soaking in cold water and Stain Stick.

Nothing like a little humility to bring you off of that high pedestal, eh?

Other than that, we had a lovely night. :)

After 17 years, and two great boys later, we still have been having a good time with our lives together. And can't wait till the next 17 and more. And even though some challenges have come our way, we just keep going, keep praying, and keep thanking the Lord for all He has done for us.

I love you Hubby! Happy Anniversary!
:)

Did you know off the top of your head how long you were married today? Or did you have to do the math like your weird friend? :) Of course, you saying it feels more like 5, makes us look bad thinking we were married longer than we are!

And, I don't know, maybe you might want to stick with water next time you go out, huh? Oh wait..you have problems with water, too don't you? (WalMart...)

Hope you had a great day!!

I actually had the math all figured out, thank you.

Yeah, thanks for reminding me of the water. I guess I'm just not good with drinks. Maybe I should buy myself some sippie cups. That might be safer.

HA HA. Just don't buy those disposable cups that you use a straw with. If you refill them, and you put the lid on with the straw already in the lid---juice squirts out the top of the straw!

I'm just proud that my 'kids' have been married longer than me and Steve! And they are so happy that I turn green quite frequently when I see them!Sort of like 'Wicked?'
Love you kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
